Sponsored by Art Fund and BECK, the 2023 events include study days on co-creation, participatory practice, community-led collecting, social justice and using the power of collections in advocacy, activism and co-production. The Museum Ideas 2023 international conference takes place in October in London. Speakers this year include Afia Yeboah, Senior Producer: Community Partnerships and Participatory Practice at V&A East and Khalil Thirlaway, Creative Producer: Community and Youth at the Natural History Museum. The conference will be chaired by Dan Hicks, Professor of Contemporary Archaeology at the University of Oxford and Curator of World Archaeology at Pitt Rivers Museum.
