Future Proof Museums programme - become more resilient, adapt to change and remain relevant
Future Proof Museums is an intensive development programme funded through Arts Council England’s Museums Resilience Fund, proven to facilitate transformational change and significantly improve the resilience of museums across England.
The ten-month programme explores why the museum is vital, what direction will drive a successful future and how to create the right culture over three stages: an in-house diagnostic session with your team, an intensive three-day residential for Museum Directors, and on-going facilitation with expert trainers.
The AMA is looking for a diverse group of participants to take part in Future Proof Museums. The entire programme costs only £395 and includes a free 12-month membership of the AMA.
“Future Proof Museums resulted in tangible outcomes. The intensity, the dialogue, the strong tools and excellent support produced the practical outcomes most training programmes don’t deliver or that dilute very quickly.”
Tim Desmond, CEO, Galleries of Justice
“It has made me more ambitious, given me courage and some excellent tools. It has taught me how to work with trustees more effectively. It has made me take into consideration my personal and my management style in each situation; a heightened awareness of my part in interactions.”
Sue Mackay, Curator, Keswick Museum and Art Gallery
