Social Web and Media Content Manager, Museum of London: Do you believe content is king? Have you got a track record of increasing reach and engagement? We seek a highly-motivated content creator to increase the Museum of London’s following and engagement on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, as well as drive visits to the museum website. The Museum of London aspires to produce the best social and web content of any museum in the country which is not only recognised for its high quality but also in its support of business objectives. The Social Media & Web Content Manager will have a blank slate to set and deliver a new strategy in line with the museum’s strategic goals particularly to reach more people, become better known and stretch thinking. This new role coincides with a new marketing and communications strategy for the organisation. The primary focus will be on the existing Museum of London and Museum of London Docklands sites while laying foundations for the new Museum of London at West Smithfield.
The ideal candidate will be highly creative, making decisions firmly grounded in data and insight. They will understand how paid and organic work hand in hand to achieve an optimum outcome. They may also have first-hand experience of working in a content-led organisation such as a media company, museum or arts organisation, or indeed have worked in a commercial environment where content is highly valued.
